Different materials need different care. Always check the product page first and follow the instructions for the most delicate component in your piece.
Gold-plated jewelry
Keep gold-plated pieces away from water, perfume, lotions, prolonged sweat, chlorine, salt water, and household chemicals. Put jewelry on after beauty products have dried. After wearing, wipe it gently with a clean, soft, dry cloth and store it separately. Plating can change gradually with wear; its longevity depends on use, exposure, and care.
Handmade pieces
“Handmade” describes how a piece is created, not its material. Handle threads, knots, beads, crystals, stones, clasps, and connections gently. Avoid pulling, stretching, or prolonged moisture. If a handmade design includes gold-plated clasps, closures, chains, or findings, follow the gold-plated care instructions above.
14K and 18K solid gold
For solid-gold pieces without delicate stones, pearls, adhesives, or threads, use lukewarm water, a small amount of mild soap, and a very soft cloth or brush; rinse carefully and dry completely. Avoid chlorine, harsh chemicals, abrasive products, toothpaste, and baking soda. For damaged settings, loose stones, deep scratches, or repairs, consult a qualified jeweler.
Pieces identified as waterproof
Only pieces specifically described as waterproof should be treated that way. Dry them after water exposure and limit contact with chlorine, salt water, perfume, creams, and chemicals to help preserve their finish.
Mixed-material designs
When a piece combines different materials, follow the care instructions for its most delicate component. If you are unsure, do not soak it or use chemical or ultrasonic cleaners.
